It’s worth ditching WhatsApp and switching over to Grapherex Private Messenger. It may sound a bit dramatic, but this article will confirm this idea.

WhatsApp and Its Traps

WhatsApp is the most popular messenger in the world. If so many people use it, how could it possibly be unsafe? Let’s discover the reasons.

End-to-End Encryption: Does It Help?

When you open a chat on WhatsApp, you immediately see the text “Messages and calls are end-to-end encrypted. No one outside of this chat, not even WhatsApp, can read or listen to them…” End-to-end encryption is a well-known system that is designed to protect both the sender and recipient of a message from an interaction of third parties.

This is true, and the application protects message content until a user backs up their chat history either to iCloud or Google Drive. These backups are not subject to end-to-end encryption. As a result, Apple and Google can access this information.

Facebook Is a Reason

Facebook acquired the WhatsApp platform in 2014. Later, Facebook bundled Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram for business purposes. According to the marketing concept behind, if a user has a business account, it’s better to connect all three social networks to improve the services they provide.

However, Facebook is not the most secure social platform. It’s famous for collecting user data and using it for advertisement purposes. WhatsApp confirms it shares data with Facebook Companies, “When we receive services from the Facebook Companies, the information we share with them is used to help WhatsApp in accordance with our instructions.”

Although the application doesn’t have access to message content, it can gain data on “how you interact with others using our services, and the time, frequency and duration of your activities and interactions.”

Shared Information

WhatsApp has the right to share information with the authorities: “We are prepared to carefully review, validate and respond to law enforcement requests based on applicable law and policy.” This point has advantages and disadvantages. On the one hand, it can prevent crime. On the other hand, the user doesn’t know which information is being shared.

Private Code

WhatsApp doesn’t share access to its code. Although this seems to be a security measure, open-source services provide a higher degree of security as everyone can examine them.

Digital Payments

WhatsApp enables digital payments to one another or to make purchases from small businesses. However, there are high risks of fraud.

How Grapherex Differs

Now, let’s compare the features of Grapherex and find out what makes it a better messenger service.

Grapherex is built on the Signal protocol and uses end-to-end encryption, which is similar to WhatsApp. However, it doesn’t collect or store any client data, which could include location, message content, the recipient, and usage statistics. User data are kept only on the end user’s device.

Secured Information

Grapherex doesn’t share private data with third parties. Therefore, a user can always be sure of their privacy.

Open-Source Project

Grapherex is an open-source service. Anyone can explore the code to find weaknesses and defects, which in turn ensures a higher level of usability and security.

Payments

Grapherex application uses new payment technologies to provide safe cryptocurrency storage and transactions.

Takeaway

Grapherex provides a high level of security. Using the same end-to-end encryption system, the application avoids storing and using private data. Being an open-source project, Grapherex grants users the opportunity to continually build on and improve the platform. Moreover, Grapherex functions as a messenger, cryptocurrency wallet, and P2P exchange.
